Stampin' Sister's in Christ #128

I finally got to enter something in one of my fav challenge blogs! When I heard the beautiful music I knew I was in the right place! Every challenge is inspired by scripture and this week it is James 1:2-3.

Create a card with variegated colors. This can mean a monochromatic card with various shades of one color, or a card that shows variegated as in a variety of colors, or a pop of bright colors in unison as in a bouquet of flowers. Be creative!
This is a Digi Darla image that I colored with copics and made a center step card. The journaling tag was made using MDS (love this sentiment) from SU and then punched out with a SU 4-frames punch.

Robyn's Fetish "People"

This cute little image was givin' to the DT at Digi Darla's. When I saw it, I knew I wanted to make a card with it so I colored it with copics (I am getting a little bit better, I have a hard time staying in the lines. LOL!) . I made it into a center step card and used my Big Shot with the lattice die-cut. Check out the other darling images at Robyn's Fetish.
This card is for darling Emily! Check out her story by clicking "Cards for Emily" on my side bar. Michelle has this going on for a year so don't miss making a card for Darling Emily!

Digi Darla's "Think Spring"

We are being sponsored by Robyn's Fetish!
I made a LO with my new puppy with my Robyn's Fetish image. The main LO is digital which I printed out and then placed my digi with pop dots. I colored it with copic markers. I printed it out twice and didn't like the way I was coloring it so I cut out the flower's and glued them on to add dimension.
For my Digi Darla's image I colored with copic's and it was kinda hard bc it was so tiny and I had to color in the line's! I cut out a square lace background with my cricut.
Isn't she CUTE?!
The card is for Darling Emily!

Stampin' Royalty with a Carly sketch

I was stuck! I couldn't get inspired, I'm sure everybody out there has days like this! I went to one of fav challenge blogs but what I wanted to do just did not come to me until I heard the beautiful music but my card did not fit their challenge but I did find a Carly sketch!  I also found a color challenge and all I saw was MDS and since I use MDS all the time, I had to go for it with this beautiful music in the background! Here's the sketch! There's some wonderful inspiration there! (This beautiful young girl of 13 is so talented!)
Here's the colors at Stampin' Royalty! Check out all the inspiration there.
Here's what I came up with! I'm very pleased with myself! (By the way it is all digital)
Stampin' Sister's in Christ is having an awesome challenge if anyone is interested. Check out their challenge by clicking their blog badge on my sidebar. That is where I heard the beautiful music!

DYSU #60 Distress

This is the 1st time entering this challenge and COOL, WOW, they have alot of entries I am a GD from Digi Darla's. I did some digital distressing and used Digi Darla's Vintage Car #1. My digital software is Stampin' Up (MDS).
I made a gatefold card and used my cuttlebug to emboss the 2 panels. Then I used an emery board to sand the raised portions so they would show up more.

Paper Lovin' Gals 2nd entry

This is my 2nd entry for PLG. After I created my card, I realized I really did have some stairs leading up to my craft room! (only it never got built!) The stairs are still there though, I just couldn't take them down! They go up to the top of my garage. Here's the inspirational pic! (LOVELY!)
I also used this sketch! I love sketches!
Anyhoo this is my LO!

Lasting Memories Ribbon

AT Lasting Memories we were to use our lovely ribbon that Marie sent us! (I wonder how she knew one of my favorite colors is pink!) Thank-you Marie, I love mine!
I guess you would say this is a hybrid LO The main LO is digital and I red-lined it to script paper from my stash. I cut out a doily die cut on my Big Shot and glued on a large flower and then a small flower and of course I had to add some bling.
It just so happened that my ribbon matched my LO perfectly! (don't you think!)
This is my Grandmother holding my Mom (very touching moment!)

Digi Darla's "Anything but Snow"

We will be featuring "Dearie Dolls" on Feb. 15 so I made an easel card of one of her image's. Isn't she cute although I thought I was going to go blind coloring her with copics bc of all the detail.
I made a scalloped easel card of Digi Darla's image. There's no snow so I guess it counts! This card is for Emily as I thought it would be a Great card for a little girl! (click on my sidebar for all her story) I colored my adorable digi image up with copics and cut her out with a scallop die from spellbinders.
PS I really love this card and image!
Win this darling digi image by doing a little bit more than you usually do!

Paper Lovin' Gals #18

Here's another beautiful inspiration photo from Paper Lovin' Gals. This is alot of fun so enter your creation here. What does this pic inspire you to do?
I see red and pink and Valentines! So I made a gatefold card with a twist and 2 Digi Darla digis and colored them up with copics except the color of the words, I did that in my free painting program, Paintbrush.
This how it opens so you need 2 (a pic and a sentiment)

At Lasting Memories, you need to include the word "LOVE" in your LO! It doesn't have to be Valentine's but it certainly can be! This is EASY PEASY for most of us bc we use this word alot!
I printed out a Digi Darla digi (boy say that three times fast) in 8x10 , then colored it with copics then cut it out. I couldn't find paper to match but I knew I had the right color in my digital program. The word "LOVE" was done with my cricut (the cartridge was Storybook)
This is my Grandmother and she collected owls! The flower was in my yard before SAM (my puppy) LOL!
I'm kinda excited today bc we're going to look for a girlfriend for Sam (now would be the perfect time bc the yard is already destroyed!)

Paper Lovin' Gals #17

What does this beautiful inspiration photo inspire you to create!? Show them your stuff HERE.
I cut out a heart with my cricut and shadowed it with pink. I used the negative images to make my layered heart in the middle plus a punch I had and for the "I" and the "U" and the swirlies on the bottom. Popped quite a few images up with pop dots.

Digi Darla's Blog hop

Welcome to our first hop of 2012 at Lasting Memories!! If you've come from Michelle then you're on the right track! If not, just click HERE to start at Lasting Memories and you'll also find all the details of the hop there! Please be sure to read through because this week we have a lot going on! We're being sponsored by Digi Darla which is PERFECT since this weeks challenge is "DIGITAL"!!

For my layout today, I used Digi Darla's Cutesie Callie and Fairy Good Girl. I painted both of these in a free program called Paintbrush. I also created a LO with my Stampin' Up digital software. I made 2 images of Cutesie Callie and reversed one.
I also couldn't decide as I really liked Digi Darla's Timmy Turtle too so I made an easel card. I printed this one out and painted it with copic markers (which they are so proud of! LOL) My journaling was printed on SU software.

Now it's time to hop on to Amy for more inspiration!! Oh and one more thing!! We're also including our friends from Digi Darla's DT in our blog hop and we'll finish up at Digi Darla's Designs where you can view her newest releases and more!! Once you've had a look around, leave Digi Darla a comment and let her know which image is your fav for your chance to win 5 of her images!!! We also have ANOTHER giveaway at Lasting Memories this week!!

How's that for a busy funfilled week!!! Here's your master list in case you get lost .. happy hopping!!!

And Our Friends from Digi Darla's are doing ANYTHING digital - doesn't have to be a layout!!

Thank you for hopping with us and be sure to come back and play a long with us!!! Here's a sketch from Heather at Scrappy Sketches for inspiration as well - REMINDER: sketch is OPTIONAL - only layouts following our challenge are eligible for giveaways.
