Lasting Memories challenge #53 Entry

At Lasting Memories we were challenged to do a LO about inspiration!  I have lots of things or people that inspire me and Gwen is certainly one. I can't think of one thing she cannot do!
It doesn't have to be a person. It can be a song, a beloved pet ect.
Hopefully my inspiration room is going to get started in OCT. I renamed it from "STAIRWAY TO NOWHERE" to "MY INSPIRATION ROOM" because it's not going to be upstairs anymore! Pitty I LOVED THE STAIRS but I'm sure I will LOVE my room!
Karen said, you can use this sketch, I chose not to, because this sketch (I also got off Karen's blog) fit my LO better!
Check out the awesome inspiration at Lasting Memories! Just click the badge on my side bar.

Monster Mash bloghop

Shirley Pumpkin is having a Monster Mash Blog hop! I took this pic the other day and that is exactly what I said (here lies Gwen & Sam "to pooped to pop!" LOL!)
Shirley said it didn't have to be 100% SU but at least 80%. Mine is 100%. I didn't have any halloween stamps that were SU (all I have is frilly stamps from SU) It also needed to be 3-d so I made my major LO with my digital software from SU and cut out a few extra images to pop up with pop dots. I used a tag for my tombstones and then digitally inked them so they would look old! COOL HUH!
I also digitally inked my clouds and moon. There's a tutorial on Stampin' Up's web page.

I also had to add bling!
My cutting out images added to my LO's scary-ness! LOL!
(Can't cut very good!)

Fashionable Stamping Challenges. Lace or/and ribbon

At Fashionable Stamping Challenges were challenged to use either lace or ribbon or both on our creation. I made a center step card with some hem lace from my stash. The stamped images are from Stampin' UP and I popped a couple of them up with pop dots. (I got to use my new PRETTY stamps from SU) I also made a bow with my lace and cut out the frames with my cuttlebug with nestabilities.

I did my sentiment with WORD and used a corner punch. (of course I had to add some BLING also!)

Stampin' Sisters in Christ #104 1 Cor. 10:17

At Stampin' Sisters in Christ, our challenge was based on this scripture 1 Cor. 10:17 (READ IT!)
It's a recipe challenge which I thought was COOL! (pick at least 3 of ribbon, buttons, a swirl, brad, charm, or/and a popped up image.)
Yeah! I did everything but a brad! ribbon "check", buttons "check", a swirl "check", hat pin "check", charm "check", popped image "check"
I got instructions for my round easel card from You-Tube. This is the 1st time I did this. I really enjoyed making this card.

A La Card Monkey Challenge Entry #71

We were challenged to use this sketch at A La Card Monkey and of course I made a digital card from my software from SU. I DL new digitals and I had to use them.
I thought my owl was a little boring so I colored his eyes, added some color to his chest, put some glimmer brads on his pupils. Still kinda boring so I added some dotted circles around his eyes and some snow flakes for more feathers on his chest. Still I thought he was missing something so I added some leaves for his wings and now I'm satisfied! (I THINK!)

Lasting Memories challenge #53 Who inspired you the most?

I lived in an art gallery with my grandparents since I was 11, before that my Mom was very active in art and now I love anything that has to do with art!
I think my Grandparents inspired me alot!
So who inspired you? Maybe your Mom or your Dad or your children or a beloved pet or ect. (you get the picture) Feel free to use this sketch.
This is a hybrid digital LO! (surprise surprise) I added some flowers & bling.
I also love this song by Stevie Nicks (Fleetwood Mac) I seem to listen to music alot and incorporate it in my LO's
Last LO as a DT for Lasting Memories!

Fashionable Stamping Challenges. Handmade flowers

We were challenged to make some handmade flowers. I love flowers and QUILLING, so I decorated this hat from walmart with some quilled flowers, bling and butterflies. The tag was cut out with my cricut on shrinky dinks and I wrote on it first with some calligraphy (usually I hate my own handwriting but when it was shrinked it looked alright!)

ColorLab challenge entry.#53

I had Jury Duty today and got home early so I decided to make a card for the challenge, I already made a LO. I guess I could be doing other things but I wanted to do this! LOL! Here's the colors we had to use.
My Pear Pizzazz looks yellow in the pic but it's not.
I made an easel card. I tried to make this card kinda masculine.

Scrapbookers Anonymous (A card)

Scrapbookers Anonymous challenged us to make a card with our scraps! Thanks to them my overwhelming stash is disappearing slowly. You know how it is "you see something you gotta have and then you can't remember why you had to have it! LOL!"
This a "Big Buckle Card" (I got the instructions from U-Tube. I used my new stamp set (crosses of hope) from SU. Aren't they pretty? I also used some left over scrap paper and a journaling block which was perfect for a buckle.

Side step card

I entered this card in Flutterby #168 & Stampin' Sisters in Christ #103. This week is an open challenge at Flutterby as long as it has a butterfly, fairy or an angel. I cut out a butterfly with my cuttlebug and there's an angel on either side of the Happy Birthday. The dimensional butterfly is from Michaels. The paper is from SU. I also punched out a wee butterfly!
At Stampin' Sisters in Christ is inspired by 2 Timothy 1:7. Don't be afraid to try new things! I made this fan fold flower but I was afraid I couldn't do it! I glued a bead in the center of the flower. I cut out all my labels with the cuttlebug and I added some bling. The stamp on the top of the card is my new stamp from SU and then I punched out the Happy Birthday and the new stamp with my 4 frames set from SU.

Lasting Memories challenge #52 What's your secret? Entry.

Sam graduated from Kinder and is now enrolled in intermediate. He sits, Shakes, Speaks, Lays down, and "Takes it" very well (his attention span is not very long!)
HE NEEDS ALOT OF WORK ON THE "LEAVE IT" PART! LOL!
Anyhoo, my LO is a hybrid! My secret is (drum roll) his grad certificate! I put it in a napkin fold card and added a belly band. The journaling was done with Word, I also tied my belly band with ribbon and used a hodgepodge label thingy from SU and my software is also from SU.
PS He hated his hat! He looked at me like he was being punished or something! LOL!

Scrapbookers Anonymous entry for A-Z challenge.

Oh, this is really FUN! You have to dig thru your stash and find anything that begins with letter "A", like maybe an "Apple" or a manufacturer like "Anna Griffin".
(YOU GET IT!) Next month it will be "B" & so on & so forth.
I chose "Alligator". My friend painted a piece of wood like an alligator!
No it's not digital!
I added some embossed frames from "K". (Hey, I could use the frames when "K" comes up!) I did my journaling with Word. (Don't know what I'll do if I have to use my own handwriting, my writing is atrocious!) Cut my letter out with my Cricut. I used some beads for frames for alligator & artsy. Added some Bling and wa-la!

Lasting Memories challenge #52 What's your secret?

I made a layout for my sister like the major digital LO but I added more for me and the challenge.(it's not all digital) The slanted pic was a mistake because I saw prt. of a pic and didn't want to throw it away!LOL! My mistake is pretty good huh!
Anyhoo my secret is hidden under the digital LO on a card. I punched out an index  with my SU index punch and added some flowers, a couple of rub-ons and some sequin leaves from Hobby Lobby, The paper I red-lined taped it to is also from Hobby Lobby. My secret is her obit.
Check out the other DT's secrets! If you click the Lasting Memories badge on my side panel it will send you there.

Flutterby Wednesday #169

At Flutterby Wednesday we were challenged to use our punches and/or diecuts so I made an easel card on my Stampin' Up designer paper (isn't it pretty). I added these beautiful die cut flowers. I made a die cut butterfly with my cuttlebug and punched out 2 small butterflies. I also added a hodgepodge label from SU, popped up the strip on the bottom after I punched out a border punch (I've had so long, I don't know where it came from)

Another entry for Lasting Memories!

This was so hilarious, I had to share! I've NEVER DONE THIS LO BEFORE! That's not what it means...but I'm playing to avoid doing house work! LOL :D

ColorLab challenge #53

Here's my LO with the colors! You do have to use SU products only and I think my SU digital software counts!
I love this pic of my nephew and my GREAT nephew!
Anyhoo here's the colors we used!

A La Card Monkey Challenge Entry # 69

We were challenged to make a creation using this sketch in the form of a sympathy or thinking of you card.
I inked a couple of squares digitally. COOL! Of course I used my digital software from SU.
Here's the sketch we used!

Lasting Memories challenge #51

This week at Lasting Memories is to try something NEW. I made a clean and simple LO and Boy was it hard! I usually fill up every corner and empty space with something although I like the way this LO turned out, I had to keep telling myself "WALK AWAY!!!"

I made some journaling spots digitally and then cut them out and popped them up with pop dots. I also punched out some smaller red hearts and popped them up as well.
PS DID I MENTION HOW HARD THIS WAS (but I picked it, RIGHT!!!)

Only 2 more challenges "Not a Happy camper" but you won't get rid of me because I'll still enter the challenges! "KAREN I REALLY ENJOYED MYSELF!"
I really enjoy seeing all the creativity!

Triangular Greeting card.

Well I thought long and hard! There's got to be something I can make in the shape of a triangle. I "GOT IT" I made a triangular greeting card  (my own creation I might add!) The paper is double sided designer paper from SU. The sentiment inside and the medallion are from SU also. (the Day of gratitude stamp set) The flower and leaves are from Hobby Lobby and I punched the butterflies with a punch I had in my stash.
I made this card for the triangular creation at Our Vintage Affair and I wanted to add butterflies and then it fit Flutterby's challenge. "What to do?" I know, I'll enter both !

Second entry for "OUR VINTAGE AFFAIR"

I'm having alot of fun with these old photos! I found this pic in a scrabook my Grandmother had given me years prior. (I'm thinkin' this is my style, it's pretty and flourishy and...) I think I like every style! I really like digital, I never have to get up and get anything! LOL! We had to follow this sketch and by the way I love sketches too!

This photo is my Dad and my brother and I. My Dad said this all the time to us. I'm thinkin' my Grandma & Grandpa used to say it to him all the time. (NOW IF ONLY I COULD SAY IT!)
(DID I MENTION I LOVE THIS SKETCH)
By the way, Im having fun with my translator.
